But I know I have to have a bride in my ads⌠Itâs the woman whoâs going to go tell the guy where to go to get his suit or where to get his tuxedo. I would never have known that starting a business. And those are the things you, obviously, learn with time.â

EDDIE GONZALEZ LOUMIET â CEO OF RUVOS
WHY WE DONâT HEAR TOO MUCH ABOUT LATINOS IN PUBLIC HEALTH & TECHNOLOGY & HOW THEY CAN USE THEIR PERSONAL STORY TO THEIR ADVANTAGE:
âMany of the folks that Iâve spoken to rather just put their head down and work. And work and work. And, often, my recommendation to them, not only for their own legacy, but to help other Latinos, is to take a little bit of time to share their story. The good times and the bad times.â
âIf I see a minority, Latino or other, and theyâve got an amazing story, sometimes, their story is better than the technology that theyâre working on, and I tell them that. I say, âYou know, youâre going to get an investor to invest in your company.ââ
They answer, âWhy? Eddie, my technology is not good.â Gonzalez Loumiet tells them that they need to believe in their technology and their story â that it will be the key to getting an investor interested. âYour technology is great. But your story is even better. So letâs share your story.â

CAMILA TORO, CEO & FOUNDER OF HAPPY CAMI
HOW SHE FINDS THE EXTRAORDINARY IN THE ORDINARY:
âI go almost every day⌠with my daughter, she is 2 ½ years [old], to the park. And we take the same path. Itâs the same view. Itâs a beautiful view. The ocean is on one side. We see the trees, the dogs. And [Iâm] always amazed⌠It is, like, oh my God. This is beautifulâŚâ
âEvery person [has] something beautiful in their life every day. But they donât see it because itâs part of their routine. Itâs part of the normal. And the normal is not normal.â
