SUSANA SIERRA â CO-FOUNDER & CEO OF BH COMPLIANCE
ON USING A âLIABILITYâ TO YOUR ADVANTAGE:
When Susana was 28 or 30 years old, she would show up to boardrooms to pitch for projects with other CEOs. They were in their 60s.
âI was the only woman in that room and the youngest⌠And they were looking at me like, oof, this is so funny. And they were really confident about themselves. So when I [got] my first big client⌠I think that all of them were thinking⌠What happened?â
âThey didnât realize that I could actually be a real competitor for them.â

MERCEDES GOMEZ, CPA â FOUNDER & CEO OF INTENTIONAL HEALTH AND WEALTH
ON HOW TO APPROACH HEALTH AND WEALTH:
âThey both require a long-term approach. Even though itâs a long-term decision, itâs a change of lifestyle â meditating, making decisions, like intentional decisions⌠require little steps.â
AND WHEN YOU MESS UP?
âI always know that there is the next moment, or the next hour, where thereâs an opportunity to do better. I⌠give myself some grace.â

ON THE BEST ONLINE TRAINING TO GET FOR TODAYâS WORLD:
âAmazon Web Services has a certification called Cloud Practitioner⌠What that means is, youâre not going to be a cloud computing expert, but youâre going to know the terms. Youâre going to know the lingo. Youâre going to know that cybersecurity is a component.â
âWe try to have every employee go through it, from front office to the most senior people⌠Regardless of the industry, medical, finance, [etc.], having a general idea of the cloud is extremely important because itâs relevant to every day, whether youâre doing it as your job or whether you are an architect loading files into some directory into this mysterious place. That mysterious place is the cloud.â

INDY VEGA â FOUNDER & CEO OF CCI GROUP
ON WHY YOUâRE BETTER OFF NOT BEING CHEAP WHEN STARTING OUT:
âYou need to put some money aside for certain things that every business needs to have. And donât go cheap on it. For example, the website. A lot of people go cheap on the website. They start looking at all these freelancer programs or they start looking at how to do it themselves. That doesnât look professional⌠Clients are more educated than ever before⌠Any decent client that has a decent amount of money to spend is going to go on a website. And if you donât have a decent website, theyâre just not going to look at you⌠Just go pay somebody and dedicate that time to really learn your craft.â

Yajaira Sierra says itâs important you know what story you need to tell since hiring managers, sometimes, donât know how to connect the dots of your story.
